While you should receive a report detailing the reasons why your scan received a fail result, here are the most common reasons scans fail:

1. If you have credit card software installed on a pc, the pc may not have been updated with all of the latest security patches. You can click here to go to windows update for the latest patches.

2. The IP address you provided for the scan may not be correct. Some Internet providers change your IP addresses from time to time. To make sure yours is current, go to http://www.whatismyip.com/.

3. Your router configuration may not be secure.

If you are tech savvy you can try to remedy the errors in the report yourself.

If you have an IT consultant, you can give them the fail report and have them remedy the errors.

Otherwise, our IT department can lend assistance . You can contact us at 317-891-2300 or email us at support@indyhost.net.

All merchants, whether small or large, need to be PCI compliant. The payment brands have collectively adopted PCI DSS as the requirement for organizations that process, store or transmit payment cardholder data.

PCI SSC is responsible for managing the security standards while each individual payment brand is responsible for managing and enforcing compliance to these standards.

Compliance is mandated by the payment card brands and not by the PCI Security Standards Council.

However, for most merchants, the deadlines for validating compliance with the PCI DSS have already passed. You should check with your acquirer and/or merchant bank to check if any specific deadlines apply to you, based on merchant transaction volume (level) as determined by the card payment brands.

All entities that transmit, process or store payment card data must be compliant with PCI DSS.

The amount of work that is involved and the cost associated with verifying the SAQ allows the processor to charge a small fee. Many processors are charging up to $150.00 annually.

Step 3 on the home page will walk you through this process.

By clicking Option Two and selecting the appropriate SAQ form you can download the pdf. Once filled out, fax or email your form to indypci.net.
